I ask myself that same question...they were sooo adorable!! Plus I want Brooke and Lucas to be back together, but I have the feeling the writers aren't going to do it considering their history...anyway, back to the question at hand....I heard the same thing you did. Something about how he and Paris Hilton hooked up and Sophia, being the respectable woman she is, ended it early to prevent further heartbreak. Whether it was actually with Paris--who knows, but cheating is the primary culprit in every report I have read about this issue. c:

From my understanding he was cheating on her with another co-worker from one tree hill that was crew or a behind the scenes lady and I heard filed for a divorce only to get engaged to this new chick. I don't know if it's true, but thinking back this is what comes to mind. Hope this helps.
p.s. I've not heard anything about Chad and Paris...even if he's a cheater I don't think he's that "low" or pathetic.

Your friend is right. Chad and Paris filmed a movie (a horror one I think) right after Chad and Sophia got married. A lot of people on the set were gossiping about how Chad and Paris were sleeping together despite his married status. Shortly thereafter, word got back to Sophia about his cheating behind and she dumped him hard.

well, chad had called sophia when he was hanging out with a friend and thought he hung up the phone but he hadn't. so sophia was still on the line and she heard chad telling his guy friend about how he cheated on sophia with paris hilton. and that pretty much sums it up!
