It's been a week....anyone still grieving?!

Question: Is anyone still grieving the untimely death of Heath Ledger? I am. I can not stop thinking about it, I guess I haven't really accepted it yet. He was by far the most unique, promising actor in my time. I saw him in 10 Things, but I really became a huge fan when A Knight's Tale came out, and The Brothers Grimm, The Patriot, etc. And of course, Brokeback! He seemed to be such a sensitive, deep person....you never really heard anything bad about him in the media and he tried to live a normal life, which was always one of my most favorite things about him. I just can't stop asking myself...Why Him?? My heart goes out to his family and Michelle, and especially little Matilda. I can't get the vision of him carrying her on his shoulders in Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan out of my mind...poor little girl.

Please keep negative comments to yourself, people are still hurting. And I would like to hear from true fans, not bandwagon jumpers.

OMG!! I have a best friend who is just as much of a fan as you are!!! She cried so bad when he died =[. I think the reason she like him so much is because he acts in this movie based on Ned Kelly (you should watch it - its really good [and he looks good in it too xD.]) Just go to the video store and ask for a movie called Ned Kelly with Heath Ledger starring in it. And my friend is absolutely, positively obsessed with Ned Kelly so thats how she came to fall in love with Heath Ledger. Cause thats the closest thing she has to Ned Kelly. On the cover of the movie is this little phrase thing that said "You can kill a man; but not a legend" and it was referring to Ned Kelly but now she uses it to comfort herself over Heath's death. As far as she's concerned, he'll always llive on in our hearts.

Take care girl, and remember; you can kill a man, but not a legend! <3

Oh, and all the comments are right aswell, we need to acknowledge all the deaths in the Middle East because no life has more value over another.

Heath seemed to be just a normal everyday guy, but created some of the best filmwork out there today, i am really looking forward to seeing the Dark Knight.

It is a real shame but these things happen. I feel so bad for the family and for his daughter, she will always be able to remember him though....

I just cant believe hes not there anymore it seems surreal...

Thing is hes like more now than what he was when he was alive....

He is ONE of the many people that die everyday. I sympathize with him as I do with the rest of the world. He is no more special because he was famous. Sadly tradedies happen like that all over the world, under even sadder circumstances. Take the soldiers in the mid east for example..
=(

a lot of aussis are in shock he was just like the kid next door we all like to read the gosip colim and think how fat isshe look he cheating these are people with fealing ard familys

When a celebrity dies, people who have never met them, and whom the celebrity has never met or cared about greive.

Meanwhile there are thousands who die every day in war-torn countries due to poverty and being slaughtered by their own people, and while the celebrities get front page headlines for a week, these people are lucky to get a blip on the back of the paper.

What's wrong here? Why is the life of one person valued so much above thousands that never really had a chance?

It's sad that he died, but what about all the people dying everyday for YOU and ME in IRAQ?

I feel the same way about Heath and Brad Renfro.
Brad was my fave actor since I saw him in The Client, and that was 10 years ago. I loved Heath since I saw 10Things I Hate About You.
They were both great and i think that their deaths impacted my life. I... I don't know how to describe what I'm feeling. I didn't know them, but I feel like I've lost someone I've known all my life,it's probably because I saw their movies.
I know it's stupid because I never knew them, but it makes me sad, cause I had the feeling that I did know them.
They were a part of my life, thats for sure. I know how you feel.
:(
R.I.P.
Brad Renfro 1982 - 2008
Heath Ledger 1979 - 2008

you're sooo right. I was heartbroken when I heard about his death. Seeing Batman is going to be weird- I mean, you watch movies with people who have died all the time, but I just think that only being about half a year later, it'll be strange. I just feel really bad for the whole family, especially Matilda. She's only 2- she'll more than likely forget everything about her father because she's so young. I AM still very saddened by his death, a week later. It just seems so surreal.
