Why do people embarrass themselves on American Idol?!
Question: yeah to get on tv is a reason that I hear a lot but whatever happened to dignity...aren't they going to feel stupid when they look back on their life and see how they made fools of themselves...those producers just use them and make millions off them.

They don't care how they get on tv as long as they get there.
I think it's ridiculous to give the bad ones air time at all, but I guess that's what makes the show entertaining to some.

SUE is right... 15 minutes of bad fame is still 15 minutes.
xeaudo is also right - some of them actually believe that they are good enough.
Ive come to two conclusions: they want thier 15 minutes of fame or they are genuinly mentally ill (and therefore should not be exploited in my opinion).
