What is so special about Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus?!
Question: Just wondering what is the big deal with this teen celeb that is causing such a huge craze amongst young girls. I don't have/know any girls that age, but I would like to understand what is causing her concert tickets to be sold out so quickly and parents of young girls to feel such enormous pressure to get tickets to her shows that they're even willing to tell lies?

Whenever Disney gets involved you know the promoting will be top notch and the image of the person they promote will be so clean that the appeal will be over the top.
Hanna Montana is the anti- Beyounce. Parents love her because she sings songs they can approve of and little girls love her because she appeals to their 'oh gee- isn't it neat to be young and free' psyche.
There's no showing of the flesh, sultry songs, sexy dancing or controversy- therefore parents are happy to buy tickets (and everything else Hanna Montana) to the concerts.
This is the Disney Company at their best.
I guess girls wanna be her and boys wanna be her bf??? I dunno I left that 'craze' age a ltitle while ago!!!!
Nothing really; she is just the teen 'flavor of the month'. Just like Tiffany in the 80's or David Cassidy in the 70's, etc.
she has her own show that a lot of kids watch on the disney channel everyday. and alot of people just like her music. parents always approve of everything because it's all very pg 13. and right now shes on tour with the jonas brothers who are also really big with kids. they are also on the disney channel alot. and the concert has been made into a movie, so i guess alot of people want to go see it for themselves.

Ive been saying the same thing these stars today don't have half the talent other stars used to now its just easy money and no talent,and as far as those tickets its not about the celebrity its about the kids who parents haven't taught them how to not follow the leader and not to compete,the parents are just competing to see who could get there kid a 1,000 ticket or backstage so the kids start acting crazy when they probably could care less and make the celebrity a 5 min star till someone else comes out it disgusting you see that mom who lied about the dad dying in war just to get her daughter a tickets ,saaaaaaddddd!!!
I haven't figured that one out either. Flipping aimlessly around on the TV one night I came across the show - typical mindless Disney fluff and the songs were pretty much the same - the kind of songs you forget five minutes after you hear them. Maybe because Billy Ray Cyrus (another "long lived" career) is her father ? In five years nobody will even remember her - unless she goes the Britney Train-wreck route. As far as parents desperately trying to get their little darlings tickets..... being the father of a former teen age girl - hell hath no fury as a teenage girl that doesn't get what she wants.

Got no much knowledge about them but i really like the song esp "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus.
I dont get it myself...but I dont really see the harm generaly speaking. She cant be held responsible for other people at this point. Its kind of annoying that she has become more of a product these days and thats just old in general but whatever. Id rather my little sister/daughter liked her than Brittany or her sister at this point. It sucks that you ALWAYS have to take the good with the bad but overall shes pretty harmless.

well, first of all they like her show and second of all they like her singing (which really isn't that bad as miley). The parents all like her because girls at 9 and 10 want to start to listen to what older girls lister ton, but it's not appropriate for them, so they let them listen to miley because she doesn't swear or sing about provacative things. She doesnn't do drugs, isn't getting pregnant, doesn't drink, and was dating another disney channel star, nick jonas. (disney plays their music all the time plus they have the camp rock movie coming out and show J.O.N.A.S.). Overall, she is a good role model, so the parents kinda have pushed their daughters into being hugr fans. At first the probably promised them they good go, not knowing what a huge sucess the tour would be, and after the tickets went on sale, they didn't want to pay all that money but felt obliged to because they want their daughters to like them. Also, that is the age where girls still are friends with their mothers before they get into their teenage years when they still can be friends but it is less common.
yea i used to really like her. but now, i dont know why i really did.. hmm...
