Question: well as an indian that would be stupid not to know bollywood!!
i just wanna comment that bollywood produce some great movies in a decade, but thats it!!
i am not trying to offend or insult here..
top things about bollywood:
- the songs, i just love them!
- romantic/drama-relationships movies, i would say that none of english movies can compare in that genre!!
- actress... damn gorgeous!!
bad things:
- crappy humor, one of things that makes me stay out of bollywood comedy movies!!
- innocent directing and story telling, i read that somebody post that no kissing/sex scene..
i found it innocent, why??
they dance half naked, but avoid kissing and sex scene??
i think if the script is demanding then you should put a scene!!
i know we are talking about culture, but one things if sex is such a taboo thing, then why, AIDS is the highest effect on indian people in india??

- happy ending, seriously this is irritating!!!!!!
why cant some of the movie have a sad ending, cmon we all know that life isnt as kind as we think it would be right??

why can't that dumb SRK create some movie, like Taare zameen par.. tells about parents-children relationship.. how come bollywood producers can be so selfish and very narrow minded, shockingly as we all know that many indian people hold a college degree and still pursue to make an Entertainment-sake-crap movies.!

Hollywood made in India,where actors sing instead of talk, they talk woth their eyes, neck and eyes.
They never kiss on screen let alone have sex, its dance sing and , more dance mopre singing and somethimes some crying.

I'm from Indonesia so of course I know. I'm not a fan of Bollywood movies myself, but there are many Bollywood movies showing here in our TV's.
I know! I saw that movie, Lagaan, and just like all other movies and shows, they used actors/actresses untypical in appearance, but hey, might as well put your best foot forward, right?

They do have a European following, and since they have begun to venture into English speaking movies (or lines and words) they have an slow emergence into America. They can be pretty entertaining for their cultural aspect.

i do of course!!! lol i use to like the movies but now i think they try to hard in bollywood, they go for more quantity than quality and they use actresses to use their bodies to get the movie some attention without putting effort into the whole cast and production of the movie, u'll see most indian movies use songs now as an excuse to get women half naked and it's got nothing to do with the movie like they use to back in the good old days, lol
lets put this straight...I hate bollywood........it's very weird.....=P
