yeh i agree that he should be with Heath and be at his funeral but Jake Gyllenhaal is in New Mexico filming a new movie.
It said that it was unlikely that he could get time off to be with one of his closest friends.

Maybe he just wants to grieve in private. He seems to be a private person at heart, so why would he want to make a statement?!? He is probably just with Reese somewhere. He is also Matilda's godfather, so I'm sure he is grieving even more for her!! Give him some time and privacy!
