I heard recently that she may be diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. That would make a lot of sense. When you experience the manic side you act impulsively including driving recklessly, excessive drinking or partying, excessive spending and making bad decisions in general. On the depressive side you might let yourself go and not tend to your children or other responsibilities. I suspect that the erratic way she's acting may be due to BPD, which is an imbalance in the brain and can be treated with medicine. Bipolar Disorder often leads to illicit drug use as sufferers try to self-medicate. Whether it's drugs or mental illness this girl needs some help. She is young and we all make mistakes, but luckily for the rest of us the whole world doesn't know about them. If she's BP she should get treatment, if she's a drug addict she should get treatment. What we need to do is stop judging her.
She's obviously miserable or at least confused inside. I hope she'll make a big lifestyle change and get herself together. She is a talented person and deserves to be happy.
edit: jsnfina is just being straightforward. Yeah, Brittney is not capable of raising those kids right now, but things change. A mother should never give up on her kids and I'm sure once she gets her life together she will again be deemed a capable mother.
She thinks she can do whatever she wants. She won't submit to authorities and do what the judge has asked her to do, in getting a mental evaluation for court purposes. I don't think she will ever give up. As evidence of this, she thought she could hole up in her bathroom with her kid and not go to jail or face any consequences. I am glad the judge is sticking to his guns. Looks like now she is just going to try and have another baby to replace the other kids. Maybe she'll give up then..... Sad situation.

Maybe your mom shouldn't have had you. That is mean to say. You know, some people fall off track, but that doesn't mean she should just give up on her kids, regardless of whether she is capable of raising them right now.

Britney's having a hard time now & she's not a dumbo. Things are not what they seem. Britney loves her kids but she sometimes out of control. Hoefully, she'll put herself back together. If Britney never had those 2 kids, they'll never ever be born. They wouldn't have a life to live. If I were her, I know how hard things would be for me (Britney Spers), shaving her head, she was too upset. K-Fed wrecked her life. Who the hell cares. What has she done to you/for you lately. With all of the issues going on in the world, why is Brittney Spears of such utter importance. I think the girl has serious psych issues, and us feeding in to all of her crazy antics is just fueling everything. she needs some serious therapy and she needs to be left alone. no one should ever say she shouldn't have had her kids. One day she will stop, take a deep long look into her life and realize that she had made some drastic mistakes, and take heavy measures to correct them, either that or she'll end up like Heath Ledger. She is definitely one of the victims of child super stardom. Her family needs to pull her up, get her the hell out of Hollywood- and help her get the help that she needs. Until that time, this this sick fascination that we have with her and her crazy life is just that. SICK. We just need to pray to God that Kevin is a descent alternative to her.
