In a crisis, she turned to his friend to make a decision, thats understandable, its not everyday that you find your client dead. It was be a shock, and would send you into a tailspin a little and would be confusing. Yes, she should have called 911 first, but prolly didnt believe he was dead. I doubt that Olsen thought he was dead either, as before this, they would have no reason to ever think he would die. She prolly just thought he was passed out or something and the bodyguards were going to help wake him up.
I think that it is because Mary Kate is a friend of his, and because her number was a "Recent Call" in his cell phone.
