I think you're right.
There's no doubt that she's made mistakes - and she needs help being a mother, controlling her emotions, and trying to get on with life. The problem I think is in the press - she's been driven to do things by the press, and sometimes they can get so into you that you can get completely distraught by them. I definately think she has at least some right to see her kids. Maybe if she sees them for a bit each week, and then has classes, and then this can increase until she has 50:50 custody.
Nonetheless, you can't justify the stuff that she did. No doubt she was under pressure, but being a mum, she should never have gone out each day, got completely drunk, taken drugs and acted like a complete ****. I think she's definately not in the position to be a full time mother with them, and she does pose a serious threat to them if she cannot even handle herself.
Britney must take the first step - she must first face her problem, and be strong willed to at least fight back against her troubles and try to resolve them - not cover them up. Up until she does this, I very much doubt anyone will, or in fact even should, give her a chance.

She should definitely take parenting classes, but I also think she needs to seek psychological help from a licensed practitioner.

She first needs to fix the main problem if she wants to be a good mother. She needs to go into therapy (drug or phsyco) if heal the root of all the issues. Most likely she will have to be involuntarily committed for this to happen.
And if she does not show up for her hearings to GET HER KIDS BACK, what makes you think she will show up for parenting classes. Oh and btw, this was part of the original agreement last year. She didn't show up for all of those either.
Darlin', It's gone well beyond a parenting class now! If she can't make it to a court hearing, there is not a sane judge in this country that will let her be alone with those kids. Without a psychological workup, she's not even going to get another hearing. Even her lawyers quit!
Poor Britney. Men don't show up for court all the time! I am talking about in my state. What happens? Usually nothing trust me. know from personal experience of my own plus friends. I think she should see her kids now and I don't think she needs parenting classes...She hasn't done anything that bad.
Look!!! She has had seconds, thirds, and fourths, some people just don't make good parents. Brittney will get through this however, she will not be close to her kids. Her kids are lucky they will have lots of $$ and grow up like Paris Hilton. They will probably get into trouble and nothing will happen to them. I have been blessed by not meeting her, However it makes me sick to my stomach that I will put myself in line of fire defending this country knowing that she is hoe, sorry I won't hate. I am glad that you have compassion, I lost mine on my 2nd tour when a female Muslim mother infibulated her 7 year old daughter. Well I guess we have other problems.
