Do you think heath ledger's role for the joker caused his death?!

Question: he says that he reallly got into the role of joker that he spent days in isolation alone in a motel. he also suffered severe insomnia and depression after playing the role of the schizophrenic joker...i donno but somthing sounds fishy here...but isnt it kinda creapy that the last film that will portray ledger depicts him as a sociopath killer..

Maybe he scared himself to death. I heard he was having a hard time emotionally after playing the role. He was supposed to be so sinister and he got so deep into the role, that he couldn't sleep, couldn't get over it and his heart just couldn't take it. Perhaps he found something inside himself that frightened him and couldn't find his way back mentally. I heard he was really struggling, that the role had really affected him. When you take these difficult roles in these movies that are getting tougher & tougher, then couple that with personal problems, it's a recipe for disaster.

no

no?

No.. why do people keep assuming that..

hmmm... I dont think that caused his death, but thats an interesting observation.

no he died as he committed suicide, he toke an overdose of drugs due to the lost of his family when they separated, he loves his daughter and couldn't take it, also he became depressed with the way people treated him, heath would not take his life to become his character, he acts as soemone he would never be

Annie P, I do not agree with that. Heath Ledger was not a druggy. I know that in a way his role as the joker scared him, but that wasnt the cause of his death.
He was sick with pneumonia, and he hadnt been getting much sleep, so he took sleeping pills. Both of them could have combined, plus he was stressed out, he had so much goin on, it all clashed, causin too much to happen with his mind and body.
That is the best explanation I can think of.

Oh my gosh, I miss him. I love him so much and he will always be remembered. I think it was a combination of all of his stress. He was not getting much sleep and took sleeping pills. I strongly believe that he did not do this to himself though. I would be absolutley shocked if Heath did did that to himself.
I love you Heath
?Rest in peace Heathcliff Andrew Ledger?

Obviously we all know he wasn't a crazy killer but in past interviews he said that he got very involved in the role and couldn't fall asleep because he just kept thinking. Heath also said Ambien (I think it was) wasn't enough to help him go to sleep. So sad.. I'm anxious for the autopsy to come out.

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard!! It is his job to play different roles for different movies!! Of course he probably had to get into a certain state of mind WHILE playing the character, but that role has been over with for a while now. I mean come on! He didn't go gay after playing a homo did he?! What's so fishy about a possible overdose of a celebrity? That happens all the time!! Being in the spot light is hard on celebrities.....proven fact! You didn't see Marilyn Monroe, Chris Farley, Kurt Cobain, John Belushi, Judy Garland, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Anna Nicole Smith (this list can just keep going) play any sociopath killer roles!
I mean Chris Farley and John Belushi were comedians for goodness sake and they overdosed! So NO to your question!!
