Do you think the media coverage of Heath Ledger is excessive or appropriate?!
Question: the media coverage generally hasn't bothered me but for one area of it. when they carried heath out of the building in the body bag they should have done it more discreetly than what they did. imagine his mum glancing at the TV and seeing her son thousands of miles away , on TV in a body bag...i hope she didn't see it. we don't need to see images like that of anybody not just actors. they should have given the man that last piece of privacy. now lets just let the poor bastard rest in peace.

Like everything else that happens the media has to whore it up and expose it all over the place andtry adn get a different angle on the same story. They already had to retract so many false statements about this guy's death becasue they all have to be the 1st wore to get the story out they dont even care if its accurate or even true. We live in a sad state of times in the good old USA!
I think it starts to become a lot when the "breaking news" is that there is nothing new. All that really came out was that the early autopsy results were inconclusive. So nothing new is going to be out until the next one is done.
I prefer to know as a fan of his, although on the flip side, there are so many speculative stories that I've decided to read them but wait until the post mortem details are released.
A very tragic affair that. I think all media coverage of tragedies is invasive to family and friends of the deceased and never really appropriate due to the morbid context. However it is something that cannot be avoided. Heath Ledger and actors like him have become a family name and many people have become entrenched in his life. It is their demand to know what happens that drives the media along. Nothing sells like sensationalism either.
He was an awesome actor and his life I am sure will leave its impact on the world!
yes!! I think overboard is what they all do in these situation. There is not even a moement of peace for the family to handle this privately. Would you want your death so public and all over the airways none stop. Why don't we blast every drunk drivers kill so much? Because it is to personal. Some respect for human kindness.

I think they need to back off the family requested to be allowed to grieve. Yes we all know, and yes it is very heart breaking that he was taken too early..but enough is enough do we really need to know how he died, that is for the family to work through. I think it's sad that the family is having it out there for the world to know, pretty soon all his dirty little secrets will be known too.
I think the media coverage of all celebrities is excessive. They need privacy and I don't want to know who they are sleeping with this week.

It's excessive. The media shouldnt have a right to do coverage on Ledger till it bleeds. Once I think about it all coverage the media does is over excessive.
