Question: Try the fact that no one and I mean no one asked any questions or even spoke of Heath Ledger until he dies? I mean I love how people become huge fans after the man dies when there are some of us whom didn't ONLY enjoy the movie brokeback mountain but all of his movies. It's one thing to ask a question but give me a break why ask question when all you have to do is go to any news page he died it is on every channel every search engine page oh look Yahoo's home page tells you exactly what's going on. Such a hype from everyone when he's dead what a joke!

Maybe I wasn't a true fan - I loved 10 Things I Hate About You & Brokeback Mountain, but the fact that I loved those movies made his death hit home. Death does that to people. Besides, stalkers are fans too. I'd hate to be lumped in that category.

You made some good points, but the bottom line is the media only cares about you if you get into trouble, if you star in a blockbuster, or if you die and that carries over into the public. That's just how it is.

I guess I can say I wasnt a fan of his while he was alive, its not that I didnt like him. I didnt really have an opinion on him, I did like some of his movies, but never really thought about him that much. But its so shocking that he died, that it really does make you stop and think about a person.......
It's because it was a shocking thing to happen.....some celebs you kinda expect this from because of the lives they lead, but Heath was not on that lived on the edge. I always liked him, not a huge fan, but I liked him. Just didn't expect this with him.....

I liked Heath Ledger way before... he moved to America... way before Brokeback mountain and way before he died...
He used to be in an Australian soap Home and Away. After that I loved him in 10 things I hate about you and in A knights tale... Anyway who are you to judge who is a "true fan"?
