Homophobic protesters at Heath Ledgers funeral??!
Question: Apparently the "Reverend" Fred Phelps's Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to protest at the funeral of Heath Ledger? Why? Because they say he is a pervert who promoted homosexuality by being in the film Brokeback Mountain. Why cant these jerk-offs let the man rest in peace without pushing their homophobic agenda. He wasnt even gay!!! These people are so f***ed up.

can u believe this - a young man dies suddenly and so unexpectedly and its so sadddd but this man is objecting to his funeral because he "acted" as a gay man - he was engaged to a woman for crying out loud - and thats real. thats what this "reverend" should be focussing on - and hats a reverend doing watchin such a movie that the has such strong objections against -

Those are truly horrible people for even saying such a thing. A young man is dead, this is not the time getting all pissy about a movie. He was an actor, he plays a part that does not necessarily portray his own opinions or lifestyle. I don't care how messed up it sounds of me, I hope that man gets shot.

I noticed no one talked about how Westboro Church does the same crap at some of our fallen troops funerals. I guess young people only get concerned when it is a celebrity.
Apparently, this so-called "reverend" can't separate reality from ACTING! Rather than spend his time protesting a heterosexual man's funeral, this guy ought to use that time to visit a psychiatrist.
And you know what else? Who the hell is HE anyway?Even if Heath were a gay man, which obviously he isn't, what gives ANYONE the right to protest at a funeral??? I think that they should let this man and his family have their time to greive. Now if it was Perez Hilton then hey I'd have no problem. But Heath Ledger was not a gay man. His character Ennis was a gay cowboy. Key word being character. These people are really demented.

I Live just outside Topeka and I agree that Fred Phelps is one sick jerk. His mind is so twisted along with his family. His daughter got arrested in nebraska during a protest because she encoraged her son to stomp on the American flag. You cant hardly make a trip into town with seeing that bunch protesting somewhere. The even protest at the funerals of our American Soldiers. This is one messed up bunch and I can't believe the stuff the get away with.

Phelps is a jerk. He pisses me off for going to the funerals of military personnel and pushing his beliefs down people's throats. How would he like it if one of his family members died and gay rights groups showed up en masse to protest that funeral? HUMPH.
