Why do some people love celebrities more than their OWN family?!

Some people cannot deal with the people (in real life) but prefer to admire people they will probably never meet. It is sad though isn't it?
Its a fantasy of sex and success by proxy that is most of the time just talk; if not, it is a dangerous obession and your brother is living in a fantasy world missing out or real life experiences with real live people and needs help.

i dont think its a matter of love. we idealise them and wish we were them or knew them and we find our self obsesed with them thats all!
That is because some people just connect in their own way with that celebrity. I for example have a favorite singer her name is Elis Regina, she's like The love of my life, I have a tremendous love for her, and That's for many reasons.....deep private reasons. But guess what she died 26 years ago....and it feels like it just happened. This past January 19th i(which is the day of her death, I cried and I cried for like a week before that date...I didn't even celebrate my birthday (the 15th) because i was really upset.)
So Anyway People are like that, sometimes celebrities are like friends....private friends...you know? I also think your Brother acts that way with you, because he's used to you and he knows you will be there everyday, that he will see you everyday, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you as much as he loves Beyonce....maybe it's a different love, you know? So think about it.
