To an extent yes, but there are things that they do that are asking to be thrown out there for everyone to see. I personally think if they dont want to be in the headlines, then dont do something that will cause you to be in the headlines. That is just common sense. I personally dont care if Jennifer Lopez just bought a double decaf at Starbucks or not, nor do I care if Jay Leno just went into a bathroom of the nearest 7-11. I do care though if they are jepordizing the lives of innocent children, and on the other hand, I care if they are making lives BETTER for children. I dont care to read about celebs and their idiotic episodes, but when it is thrown in your face when you are in the check out line, you have to read and laugh at the stupidity of it all.

Yes they are, I think its disgusting the lengths the media goes to constantly to chase them around.

i think once youve put yourself out there like that there is really no going back. when they started they career they wanted fame. be careful what you wish for i guess.

Yes they are humans after all.

Yes.
Celebrities are humans just like everyone else.
If they weren't in movies/shows or didn't sing, no one would give a hoot about them.

I only believe that celebs should be photographed on the red carpet.

They're entitled to one but shouldn't expect one.

I think they are, your only supposed to look at them when they are on the big screen.

After I get off work, I don't continue auditing people for the fun of it and want to be left alone! I am sure they feel the same way!

Yes they are entitled but not possible unless they live in a desert island.

no, they chose a life, and a career that they know is going to be privacy free, so no, they asked for it!

If they want a private life, they should be able to have one.
If they are doing stupid random things to get the media's attention, then most likely they don't value their own privacy.

Yes, I think everyone should..

I think it's part their own fault because they see how celebs are treated and then they enter the spotlight and expect special treatment?

I do however, think there is a time when they do need privacy. Such as Britney Spears.

yeah because their people too so they deserve to have rights just like anybody else because nobody wants to be bothered 24/7

well yes and no, if they are at there homes, eating dinner out etc then they should be left alone.
but walking down the street, stopping into starbucks anything out in public walking about then no.. they chose that career they wanted the fame so they shouldnt moan about it.. there fans etc are what made them famous...
now the only thing i think (out in public) when they should be left alone is eating dinner in a resturant.. at least wait til then hit the streets..

Yes they are, and some do. The ones that seem to complain the most are the ones that do the most outrageous things to ATTRACT attention.

They do things to get their names in the public eye to increase their celebrity status and then they complain about "paparazzi".

Some accept the intrusion as part of the price for their astronomical salaries.

Others move away from the limelight between films. They live in places like New Mexico, New Hampshire, etc, to get away from the public eye in Los Angeles and Hollywood.

EDIT: I see your question has now become a rant.... Is that why you asked the question in the first place? So you could rant at us? Additionally, apparently you haven't even read the answers, because what you accused us of saying, isn't even what most of us said. If you want a rant site, go to one and rant... Don't ask opinions.

Yes because acting, singing, modeling, etc. is their job. Just like our jobs are teaching, doctors, electricians, etc. So its like when you go out to do some shopping the media is in your face. Just because they are in movies or are in bands or etc. doesn't mean they don't want a private life. They should get their own privacy when they are doing normal everyday things.

Yes and no. If they want to be famous, there are pros and cons. A lot of celebs dislike the limelight, but it comes with the territory.

If you put yourself out in the public eye you open yourself up. It's one of the reasons celebrities get paid so much, because they are out in the open.

well, not really i mean, they chose to be famouse and once you become famous you can't go back, so they put themselves in that position, think before you ACT. lol
get acting,.....

I deff. think they should have every right a normal human being does. just because they're famous doesn't mean that they shouldn't be treated like people. but on the other hand, look at some of the acts they pull (such as britney spears) what do you expect the media to do?

everyone should get there own private space, i hate the media....

I'd say yes because celebrities are just trying to do their job. An example is Britney Spears. Singing is just her job, she does NOT need a bunch of people following her around just because she sings for a living. Now a person who isn't a celebrity like a Librarian for example, is just doing their job but you don't see paparazzi following them around, taking pictures of them, harassing them, etc. Why should celebrities be followed around when they are just normal human beings who are just trying to do their job?

I think that for the amount of money that they make for doing almost nothing, then we have a right to be in there face when they are out in public.

However, I do feel that it is wrong when paparazzi invades a celebrities personal life while they are at home or on vacation, and any sort of negative publicity concerning relationships or children is completely inappropriate.

when someone chooses to be a celeb they usually are expected to give up much of the privacy that normal people see as part of thier life. it is a package deal with fame and fortune being given but private life intrusion also given..it's not for me

Well ofcourse dey r entitled 2 a private life, but let me tell u d more u bcome popular d more people r interested in knowin' about you so it's d life dey choose but although the paparazzi go 2 far sometimes which isn't good but c'mon wat entertainment will we have without dem???
so 4 me it's not gud but it's ok bcuz it is wat keeps me tuned 2 d tv. like 4 Britney Spears' story 4 example!!

Yes. They're still people, and still entitled to their dignity and respect. There are boundaries that have to be respected.
