Well, a lot of Asians have very white skin, so that's a big part of it.
I live in China right now, and many of my Chinese female friends tell me that whiter skin is prized. The whiter you are, the more beautiful you are, apparently. I have had many friends here tell me that they think my "snow white" skin is beautiful. In fact, you can go into any grocery store here and buy "skin whitening" products.
I think because they make them look white.
I live in Japan and over here, the whiter you are the more attractive. Brown / tanned skin is considered very un-attractive for some reason.
O come on! Lots of Asians are white.
Perhaps they have seen the light of day and realise that it will improve the sales of their products. Some UK TV adverts feature black models in an attempt to increase their sales coverage.
i think its some sort of make-up tht goes WAY back in asian history.
