Who thinks that the music today really sucks?!
Question: Ok i am not saying that it all does. But i was raised up in the 70 and 80's so i am used to Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, people that actually meant something when they sang a song. Carol King, ETC now i think all it is about is how naked they can be on stage, and sex sex sex.
Ok I do love Pink cause she is a great singer and her songs are meaningful..
BUT COME ON we need some more singers that have someting to say besides sex.

Well, I was raised in the 90s, so I was inundated with different music.
But there is good music. I'm particularly fond of 'post-rock' with bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky. That stuff is brilliant.
There are lots of singers and musicians that go under the radar because of more 'popular' music ala gangsta rap or ***** cat dolls or what have you. Do a bit of digging, research, you'll find some great gems.
Jet, Powderfinger, Muse, Dream Theater.
Just a few of the plethora of great bands out there today.
i dont think music today's suck but yeah,we need more than songs about sex,sex,and sex.The Click Five's music are not really into sex thing like Jenny and Happy Birthday.what do you think?

Oh i totally agree i'm 14 years old and i listen to stuff thats mainly from the 70's or 80's like AC/DC,Rush,GNR,Nazareth, the list goes on i personally do not like the music of my generation. I hat the Emo bands that think of nothing else but how bad life sucks. i don't like hip hop rap or any of that kinda stuff to me its not music most of my friends go crazy for MCR or fall out boy but me on the other hand would go crazy for AC/DC or Rush.

you dont know what you talkin about, when wasnt 70 and 80s music about sex? I guess the phrase sex drugs and rock and roll started when? are you tryin to say in the 30s and 40s? I think not tinkerbell its from the 60s and 70s when the music was drug indused and songs were about sex. and we all know the hair bands from the 70s and 80s never sang about sex. your an idiot for even righting this question.
Janis Joplin..she could belt it out. i like music from the 60.s.
