Hey kids she is no different than hundreds of other actors that had an edge because of a famous parent. Some of them you probably don't even realize because you never knew who their parents were. And believe me her dad was not that poplular to be totally responsible for his daughters success. She must have the talent on her own to be successful. Yes she had an advantage because her dad was able to teach her things about the business. But her fame comes from her not her dad. She is mainly popular with very young girls who don't even know who her father is much less that he had one hit song many years ago.
Oh and by the way, all this talk about why she is famous is making her more famous right now.
her dad is the big thing and i heard that miley was picked because of her dad...makes me sick, im trying so hard to become famous and then i see her soaking up so much attention when she didn't even work for it. she is a horrible actress and singer. and you know my nickname says ?Miley?Chick? i accidently misspelled Mickey so yeah
I completley disagree with that. Little kids don't even know who her dad is and they REALLY like her. So, I think that even without her father, she would be a huge success.
I think having a famous dad has helped her get into the 'business', but I also believe she does have talent.

Exactly. Talent was required on her part, but it wouldn't have been so easy for her to break in and have the connections without ol' daddy.
i dont think it was just because of that.. i mean yeah that might have helped.. but i read she had to go through a LOT of auditions for hannah montana, they said she wasnt right at first but she kept trying and then got it!

Her dad got her the job, but when people go to shows they go to see Miley or Hannah. Sure people know who her dad is, but for the most part, a majority of the people that watch the show didn't know who her dad was. She kindof made him famous..
simple, becuase she did. i promise you that there is NO WAY Disney would hire someone with that lack of talent if it wasnt for her dad. he had to do some pursuading to get them to pick that piece of trash over all the people in the world that have REAL talent.
I think he's helped. I don't think she would have gotten on the show if it weren't for her dad having links to stuff like this. So I'd say he has helped her get where she is now.
most people dint know shes billy's daughter..i think he made it very simple for her. the record companies, radio stations, Disney channel all know who she is and that helps..but as of the fan base..i think that the advertising helps BIG and of course all little kids like what their friends like and so it just spreads

Well I think he has A LOT to do with it. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't even know who she is!!!! She has to be able to act to be on TV but I dont think shes the best singer in the world though! You have to have connections to be a child star! *cough* Her dad *cough*
Some little kids apparently dont think shes as horrible as WE ALL say she is! I dont Hate her and Im not exactly her biggest fan so I'm not playin favorites!

naa i disagree. i mean with her dad being famous, that may have given her some help along the way to being discovered and everything. but kids rly go crazy for her. i think little girls look at her and they think that shes pretty and that she has a good voice. shes a role model to them. i mean, im not a miley fan lol, but a lot of little kids look up to her.
