What does everyone think about Jessica Seinfeld being sued...?!

Question: Jessica Seinfeld is being sued by another author whose cookbook is very similar to that of hiding veggies to get kids to eat better. This other author's book was published 6 months before Jessica Seinfeld's. I have to feel bad for this other author (can't think of her name, sorry) b/c Mrs. Seinfeld definitely has a leg-up being how famous her husband is so I understand how irritating it must be for this woman. What do you think ?

I think it's great she's suing. Lapine (a chef and nutritionist) submitted her book to Harper Collins to be published months before Seinfeld, and they turned it down. She had it published through another company, then lo and behold, Jessica Seinfeld (who has no culinary training) has a VERY similar book published through Harper Collins. Seems very fishy to me...

Lets not forget that Jessica Seinfeld was married before and left her husband of only a week or so for Jerry because of who he was. This woman will do anything for money.

I only think that Missy Chase Lapine should sue Jerry Seinfeld for slander for those bad remarks he made about her on TV. He made matters worse. It also makes me think a lot less of him.
Jessica Seinfeld showed more class by her own response on her web site. She addresses that the idea is not new and she lists 3 other books that are similar to hers including The Sneaky Chef by MCLapine.

I think a lot of mothers have come up with the idea of incorporating veggies in their children's food.

There's more than one Italian/Mexican/Seafood, etc. cookbook out there....there's room for more than one cookbook about Veggies in food for Children.

WHAT...is the DEAL...with THAT?

Go to the website called The Smoking Gun, and there you will see the actual legal document that describes, in great details, the similarities in both books. After reading that, there doesn't seem to be any doubt that Jessica Seinfeld did indeed copy the other author's book. Wealthy, famous people alot of times feel they can do whatever they want without consequences.
