Because they are invincible and we don't want to criticize our own
Because they are less likely to get up in the paparazzi's faces, than, say, Russell Crowe, or Sean Penn.
Because they are supposed to be "ladies"...and as the old saying goes, "boys will be boys".
I know it's unfair, but people still look at things that way.
Odd, isn't it? I'm sure the young female celebs enjoy the attention, but it is rather irritating for those of us who must keep switching channels or turn the set off, when that stuff is being reported.

Men just seems to get into fights.
Women seem to get into fights (sometimes), flash their body parts (this may be the fault of the photographers just being perverted) and also they sometimes get pregnant in an eyebrow raising manner. Pregnancy is a big deal. Just think what men have done and what women have done.
Well, because they are more likely to jump up and dance on a table while wearing a mini skirt.
