I didn't realize it until I watched the credits. Dick Van Dyke does such a good job as an actor.

I never knew as a kid.

It is him.

it is him....

Yes, it is. Saw a special features where Dick Van Dyke did not even want the children told so they would not be too comfortable or friendly with him during the filming of that sequence.

yes, I knew it then and now. you can tell it's him. Dick Van Dyke, the man of many faces!

Yes, I knew that. It tells you in the closing credits. That was a great movie.

I never knew that?? Is he reallly??????

i think it is but i looked it up and it is not...

Yes, it is Dick Van Dyke.
When I first saw that movie as a kid I couldn't figure out how he looked so old. lol

yes I knew that :-) Dick Van Dyke is cool.

Surprises on top of surprises..... It actually IS Dick Van Dyke!!!!

who cares....?

it is!

Yes, it is him. He does a great job of physical comedy when the old guy shocks them all by laughing up a storm and dies happy.

if you want to find out who acts in what films go to
imdb.com (internet movie data base)

it tells you allthe actors/extras, and it's completely free, and it usually has photos too!

according to IMDB he was Bert / Mr. Dawes, Sr.

hope this helps

yup, you're right on the money. happy new year

cool

Yes, that IS Dick Van Dyke ... and that is one of those 'hidden bits of knowledge' about that movie. I think it's a wonderful bit of 'trivia' to know, and you are very good to 'catch it' since that 'scene' is very short and really has little to do with the 'plot' of the movie ... which is actually a 'giveaway' to look for 'something', although you don't have a clue 'going in' ...

Yes, its him.
It says so in the credits.

Oh yeah.....I remember the original movie...tells you I am middle aged

Of course!

It is him...
Its on now on ITV1 :)
Top film.

Dick Van Dyke, on the other hand, took only one take to record his verses as Mr. Dawes, Sr. on "Fidelity, Fiduciary Bank".

The scene where Mr. Dawes, Sr. (Dick Van Dyke) has trouble negotiating the step in the bank's meeting room was not originally in the script
