He got it when he was in the hospital after being diagnosed with diabetes when he was 13. He's wore it everyday since.
it's to let people know if he ever gets in an accident or anything. that the person who rescues him knows that he has diabetes. because he may not be able to handle certain medicines.
His dog tag say he is a diabetic and it has his hospital info for diabetes on it. He wears it in case of an emergency and he is unconscious people will know that he is a diabetic.
