My mother thinks my "obsession" with miley cyrus is unhealthy?!
Question: Because I talk about her and have some posters and i also watch hannah montana. I was talking about her today with my cousin and my mom lost it infront of our family and starting yelling about how i dont even know her and i need to stop talking about people who arent apart of my real life. .
i guess im just wondering what other peoples parents think or say..........?

If you're like the other kids running around here with nothing to say other than "Miley this and miley that" than yes, I do understand where your mom is coming from.
My 8 year old sister likes zoey, hannah, and that other show with the sister from drake and josh. BUT when the show is over and done with, she goes about her business and lives her own life.
I think there are way to many young girls revolving their lives around this girl, and its silly. There are other things in life besides teen actors that do not even know you exsist.

I'm obsessed with Miley too! My mom doesn't think much of it cuz she knows Miley is a sweet person and is down-to-earth and not spoiled and a good role model!

I thnk Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus is a great rolle model for girls. She has a good head on her shoulders, has a strong relationship with family, and is a budding talent that has the potential to be even bigger than she is already. You may be alittle too obsessive if most of your conversations with others revolve around her though. But to have posters and to watch the TV show measns that you are a fan. those who make negative comments about her are not used to her down to earth image and are too used to the trashy no talent drama queens like paris hilton and linsey lohan.
Well, I think it is perfectly fine to have a role model and look up to some one you admire. But if you talk about her all the time and get really carried away, it is not worth it. You have your own life and should not follow some one elses. I love the Jonas Brothers and I will admit that I spend too much time thinking about them or buying magazines with them in it. It is a waste of money and time. As much as I love those boys, it is a tru fact and I am aware of this. But no matter what, I will always look up to the Jonas Brothers and will love them even though I do not know them. It is great to support somebody. So just be aware of how much time you spend watching her show or talking about her or how many posters you buy. Try to cut back on it a little and I think that will make your mom more happy. well i have an obsession with miley but my parents dont know cuz im a guy, so i dont tell them for obvious reasons. they probably think im a little weird though cuz i went to her concert a few days ago.
