What do you think of the Jonas Brothers?!

Why do you like the Jonas Brothers or why do you dislike them?
I love the Jonas Brothers! Their music really cheers me up when days are rough, but it also just generally makes me happy. I think they are very talented young boys, and they totally deserve all the fame they're getting. A lot of people like to bash on them for no apparent reason, and I honestly don't even know why. You can't say they're not talented.. I mean look at them. They're 15, 18, and 20 years of age, yet they play their instruments like pros, they can sing beautifully, their album has gone platinum, they sound GREAT live, they write their own lyrics - what more do you want? Of course, I know they may not be the best musicians in the history of music, but I am just trying to point out the fact that they are talented.
Sure, they're supposedly a "disney band", but what does that mean exactly? Why is it that people go "I don't like they Jonas Brothers. They're too disney-ish for me." Just because their music is fit for young kids to listen to doesn't mean they're meant specifically for them. I think older teens and young adults could listen, like, and relate to their music also. But that doesn't happen too often because people these days just follow the crowd and they don't even give JB a chance because they're supposedly not the "in thing" to listen to. Everyone thinks that they're fake, or that they don't know write their own songs, just because the only songs that are shown on Disney by them are the songs that aren't necessarily theirs, or songs that they revised - songs like Year 3000 and Kids of the Future. So then people automatically think "Oh, they're fake.", without even giving them a chance or listening to their other songs.
It also bothers me when people say that their songs have no meaning, because I personally think they do. The songs they write really have innocent, pure meanings, that many of the mainstream artists these days don't incorporate into their lyrics. The Jonas Brothers' music has nothing to do with sex, drugs, girls, or anything horrible that kids shouldn't be listening to. Instead, they write about teenage love, hardships that people go through, and just life in general. I think people find it hard to accept this kind of music because they're not exactly used to it, when you have so much bad influence floating around in mainstream music.
Anyway, I just wish people wouldn't judge each other on what kind of music they listen to. It's weird sometimes, being at school and hearing people talk about how "gay" the Jonas Brothers are. It's like they don't even have a good explanation to why they don't like them, and that's what bothers me. I wish more people would stand up for the type of music they like, regardless of what others will think of them. I know that's something I'm definitely working on myself.
In reply to what the others were saying, I also think their songs are overplayed. But what does that have to do with them? Why would you hate or dislike the Jonas Brothers themselves just because their songs are really popular? Is it their fault? Some of the obsessed fans are somewhat annoying, I guess, but what does that have to do with them? It's the fans' choice of whether or not obsess over them, and it's the radio stations, or certain television shows, who choose to play their songs over and over again. Them being overplayed or why you hate their obsessed fans isn't a reason to why you don't like their music, or the Jonas Brothers themselves as people.

I don't like them all that much because I can't hear them SINGING when I listen to one of their songs, I only hear their guitar work.

I personally think their sound is too young. However, I do have one of their songs "Year 3000" its ok...
I don't listen to pop, so that is another reason i dont like them. They are just not my style.

Ok, I like the jonas brothers, alot, but people obsess alot about them and the fans get annoying..
But my Favorite Jonas, would have to be Nick.. I like him cause he is close to my age, hes cute, and I love his voice.
My least Favorite, but I still like is Joe.. Yea Yea... most people love him the most.. but in some of the music videos hes kinda abnoctious and I dont think he takes things that seriously, I mean its cool that hes playful but maybe he does it to much.. But I have to admit that I love his voice.
But the jonas brothers are all so cute.. I love their music, and sometimes I get a little bit obsessed but not near as much as most girls.. I wish they could get out more song! Hold On and S.O.S are getting kinda old and boring.. I mean on disney channel S.O.S and Hold On, are always number 1 and number 2 on the top 10.. I know those are popular songs but there played way to much..
