Question: Ive just finished watching the Richard Hammond documentary on Evel Knievel and was almost too embarresed to look, who wants to see a grown man kiss everyones Ar$e?

I like Hammond on Top Gear, but it was a bit embarrassing watching him lick Evil's a*se. I don't believe in idolising people like that, there are loads of people who I have loads of respect for, but I wouldn't stoop to the kind of a*rselicking Hammond was doing on that documentary. But at the same time I don't hold it against him, loads of TV presenters make an a*rse of themselves occasionally, it doesn't mean I think any less of him next time I see him on Top Gear.

Hammond is an OK presenter but Evil Knievel was a 70s legend and it's tough to meet a legend and not fawn all over him especially when he was your hero. Top Gear gets more viewers than just about any BBC show so he must be doing something right

Richard Hammond has idolised Kinevel. I can't say from experience as i have never met an idol, however i too saw this program, and Hammond was awe-inspired. Leave him alone, the man is a legend!
No need to be embarrased because...Well clearly Evel loved it otherwise he would've done a massive fart that would see Hammond landing on the other side x
the hamster is sincere, when he met his childhood hero he was a bit overawed. he could pull an act but i think he reacts to things as one of the lads, so barney ard i will agree we disagree on this one, have a good festive.
