I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. If I had to guess, I remember they both disappeared around the time Jerry Springer gained huge in popularity. They probably lost their audience, they came on around the same time. That is until Ricki Lake was moved to 2 in the morning. Fat chance getting any audience at that time. That's when all the good cartoons are on (Family Guy and such).
I think I saw Ricki Lake in a made-for-TV movie on Lifetime recently, but I don't remember the name of it. Couldn't tell you anything on Jenny Jones.
Yes, Lake had children and Jones lost a boobie working at the corner of main street, therefore their shows got canceled.
The same thing that happened to Sally Jessy Raphael. All those shows got canceled.
