Everyone Needs to lay off Jamie Lynn!?!

Question: Jesus Christ! everyone that says jamie lynn is a horrible role model for young girls, needs to shut the fu*k up! It's not like she is the first 16 year old to get pregnant! and im pretty sure she didn't try to get pregnant. Also just because she got pregnant doesn't mean every young girl in the world is going to do the same as her! She can still be a role model by showing girls how to be responsable in a situation like this. You all need to remember to Judge yourselves before you judge others! If you want to be a good role model for your child you should be Supporting her instead of bashing her.

Amen! You are spot on! Seems like everyone wants to find a scapegoat...and right now the scapegoat is Jamielynn Spears. It'll be someone else in a few more weeks....

You are right. Jamielynn is NOT the first adolescent to get pregnant and she won't be the last. In fact, if a person did a search, they'd be surprised to find out how many notable people were pregnant or fathered children as young adults...or even as older adults. Albert Einstein, the physicist got a woman pregnant outside of wedlock, and wouldn't even acknowledge the child! He only married mathematician Mileva Maric after she placed the baby for adoption.

You know, it amazes me how some of these people are going on and on about Jamielynn and her pregnancy as though they are so infallible...as if such things could NEVER happen in their own sainted families! Well, I got news for them. ANYONE can make a mistake...even the Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God in the Book of Romans. It also says judge not lest ye yourself be judged (Matt 7:7) ..and the Scriptures are chock full of people who messed up big time... the point of having "Christian values" is not claiming to be so "perfect" and incapable of sin...it's acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of God's mercy and grace. Folks need to get it right...and stop mistaking right-wing fundamentalist legalism or Phariseeism for true Christianity.

Finally, role models should come from your communities and families, not Hollywood celebrities. Oh well, maybe all this publicity can become a wake up call for parents to talk honestly to their children about sexuality...to start determining what their own personal values are and then live them and BE the role models that young people want and need!

*edit*

quite possibly it's a publicity stunt, but that's quite a stretch...no, I think she is like a great many teens, thought she was ready but she really was not...and now she's got to deal with the consequences of her actions, just like the others. I give her credit for not terminating the pregnancy. She could've done that and kept the whole thing hush hush. Back in my teen days (1970s)...they were still either forcing the pregnant girls into marriages or sending them away to stay with relatives or special homes/schools/hospitals until the baby was born and then pressuring the mom to give them up for adoption...and NO ONE ever talked about this stuff! They only started letting the pregnant girls continue to go regular high schools and having day care centers in the schools in the mid-80s...and it was really controversial as I recall.

You said that she didn't try to get pregent, well you were wrong there because the best way to not get pregent is to (Pause) not F**king have sex dee, dee, dee.

Supporting her? Clearly, you are either very young or very naive. Why should people support someone who is foolish enough to have unprotected sex with a 19 year old. She should have either kept her panties on or used birth control. Talk about child abuse! No baby should have a 16 year old for a mother. She is not a role model in any way and she will no longer be viewed this way. Face it. She's done. She cannot and should not try to show others how to be responsible because she was not responsible. She knows nothing about responsibility and it would be hypocritical for her to even try to do so. Who would want their child to look up to someone who makes foolish decisions and is of loose morals? 16 year olds should be in school not having unprotected sex with older boys. Shame on her and on her parents!

i agree. she said in an interview that it was something she wouldn't recomend to people, that girls should wait. but she wasn't going to judge it, cuz she put herself in that position. so at least she is taking responsibility for her actions.

well uh ya she just gets to make kids and get away from it shes just as stupid as her sister they both belong in rehab and shave there heads and be like pin heads those idiots i have no sympathy for people like the spears they just make our world more complicated!

not trying to get pregnant and having unprotected sex are 2 different things. i have not tried to get pregnant for 4 yeears now, and guess what? im not! I am 21 and am on birthcontrol and use condoms. its common sense. its not like she couldnt afford it

How can I support someone who claimed to have high Chrisitan morals? That when there were pregnancy rumors a few months ago, her agent sent out a letter saying that the rumors were "a malicious story and false story which would be emotionally devastating to a morally upright 16 year old girl.”
Seriously?
and not a few months later she is pregnant?
you said she didn't try to have a child? Hm. Last time I heard that having sex, no matter if you are "careful" or not, leads to pregnancy and other things.
I can't support a hypocrite.

I agree with you that she is not the only one to get pregnant at the age of 16, but still, it is a very bad example for younger girls (8, 9, 10). I'm sorry, but it is. No one forced her to do it; it was her own choice, and therefore she is at fault. She should have thought before she did it, I mean she's not even an adult, how is she ever going to keep up a sucessful career and raise a small baby. Personally, I think it was a very poor decision, but I agree to give the girl a break about it.

Preach mnnikolai Preach. I agree with the things you have said. Geez people acts like Jamie Lynn is the first 16 year old teenage girl to be pregnant. Shes not the first teenage girl to be pregnant and she wont be the last. Girls get pregnant and have babies everyday. People are passing harsh judgments on Jamie Lynn when some of them have done the same thing that Jamie Lynn did having sex with her boyfriend and getting pregnant. Heck most teenagers these days are sexually active. Jamie Lynn isnt a virgin most people these days are not. Pregnancy is something that can happen to any girl or woman. Birth Control and condoms arent 100% effective. Just becuase Jamie Lynn is pregnant doesnt make her a bad person. People needs to get their heads out of their@sses and stop being so narrowminded and judgmental. No one is perfect.

3 words: I LOVE YOU!!!!

well support IDK(didn't read the whole thing til now) because she did something that was immature and irresponsible. She needs to learn from her mistake and having a live in boyfriend is not learning from your mistakes...what in hell was her mother thinking?

right on (:

i do think that people need to lay off britney too.
all the attention is just urging her on.

I totally agree with you!

Why is everyone concerned with her life? Some people really need to get a life
