What is your opinion on today's role-models supplied by children's telev!
Question: What sparked this question is Jamie Lynn Spears (who is obviously taking after her sister) is pregnant at 16 years old. Vanessa Hudgens had nude pics of herself exposed. Shows like Drake and Josh (which seems decent) BUT why is one of the guys put out to be some "player" type guy with the girls. Why do they have these teens as the example for our growing children? What is your opinion?

i'm not very sure now, with jaime and vanessa.
but there ARE some good role models, and even though they're quite young, some kids (like me, i'm 13) still like them.
i'm not talking about brit or lindsay or jaime, i think vanessa's songs are nice, even though the pics were a bad touch.
and there are other young nice girls too, like Dakota Fanning. she's 13 too, and she seems okay, we'll just have to see how she turns out to be like. for now, her acting skills are great!
and emma roberts. she has her powerful aunt julia roberts to guide her, and she's talented too! she acts in Unfabulous and Nancy Drew and can sing, and so far she doesn't have any scandals.
and Miley Cyrus. yup, i think she's kind of the best role model for everyone. she dresses decently, even though her make up at the teen vogue premiere was just GROSS, but anyway, she's very talented too, she writes her own songs, sings + performs them, plays the guitar and is
resourceful ( did u hear when she drank at starbucks when she forgot her cashcard so she took her guitar out and played there and so many people came and she earned her starbucks drink!), and best of all, she siad she was raised in a strict christian family, so she has strict religious rules to follow, most of all, she doesn't believes in pre-marital sex. good, since her dad billy ray cyrus is there to guide her too!
TV is TV and your childs role models should come from the parents not the TV. In today society it is hard for kids not to watch TV, but you still need to explain to your child that it is make believe not real. Imagine if every mistake you made as a teenager was public knowledge... I would have been screwed. People make mistakes all the time how they deal with mistakes and what they learn from them make the person they will be later on in life.
that may be true, but there are some good role models out there still, that haven't done anything wrong like Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, all the other high school music guys, alot of the nickelodeon characters are good too.
they're not all bad, but it seems this is happening more and more
