Answers: all they did was promote l.s.d and make love now were stuck with smackheads and aids

i agree with kenny b
the beatles were useless

Oh don't be stupid. Couldn't sing, ha ha ha ha

Eh, never been my bag.
I can appreciate what they were, and continue to be, to people.

I think they could sing. Their record sales speak for themselves.

Their music was initially simplistic in structure but became more intricate and complex over time.

Get off here ...you haven't got a clue what you are on about..you aint a sixties child

Haha, funny guy. Name me a person or band that has influenced more artists than the Beatles.

Yeah, right. I never thought of that. The Beatles caused aids. Hmmm.

Were you around then, and do you not listen to their music, they were and still are streets, no legions ahead of every band that were around then and now, and many of the bands like Oasis attribute their music to the Beatles. It wasn't all about I wanna hold you hand, listen to St Pepper, Rubber Soul and you will see that you are so wrong in your assessment.

well i think at the time that they became famous that exactly what people wanted. hippies were all about being at peace and gettting high to get away from their problems. That l.s.d would help them revolt against the government
but the beatles could sing, they had nice calm voices that soothed you and made you calm
:D

They could sing but look at all the rappers today. They cant sing at all but they sure have everybody fooled. Ever wonder why Rap and Crap sound the same

the greatest band ever,

prbly the same reason why people like hannah montana and all the other people who think that they have talent but really dont have any at all.

I was in high school from 1968 - 1972 and you don't know what you're talking about.

It was a whole other generation many don't understand. I am a little too young to remember them in the 60's, but I grew up with them & a love for their music ever since. Maybe it's genetic b/c my father is a HUGE Beatles fan & my mother not so much. AIDS was a long way away from showing it's ugly, miserable face back then.

Boy, you never heard of the song "Yesterday"?
If you were here right now I would give you such a smack upside your square little Rap-Crap listening head!

Sorry mate you are getting mixed up with ,Simon co wells Canned Pop,,,,and real music,,,,,,The Beatles earned there bread,,,,even though you couldn't hear them through the screaming fans,,,,,even though i myself at the time was a stones fan,,,,,,,

You must be tone deaf. Not only could they sing but they wrote some of the most influential music ever. 'Yesterday' is the most covered song ever. And McCartney is still writing. I don't believe any of them have become 'smackheads' nor have aids.(or did, as two of them are dead.) And whats wrong with promoting and/or making Love, Eh? Better than promoting hate and killing.

The Beatles were revolutionary musicians - While their music might not be to your personal taste it is a fact that they changed music forever - listen to any pop from the 50's - it's all really formulaic and predictable - the Beatles experimented with timing in a way that hadn't been done before - just try playing All You Need is Love and you'll see what I mean - I don't like all the Beatles' songs and there are people since them who have written amazing songs and done amazing things but the Beatles were first - That's why they are legendary................ Can't sing - listen to Blackbird or Yesterday - I'll give you £1,000,000 if you can sing those songs like Paul...........

at nearly 69-ouch lol-i can state without doubt-you are a fool-is this bang bang music better?
suggest you change your `medication`.
if there are 5 m or f-nobody playing an instrument-and don`t even write any lyrics.that make sense anyweay-then you have a no` 1 hit.
saxalege to `real music.
think you also have them mixed up with the stones etc.

how could u say the Beatles could not sing.they changed the music industry . if it wasn't for them u wouldn't have the music u have today . they were the best misc writers in the world, and all their songs have withstood time. maybe u should sit back and listen to them . a lot of these drugs had been around for hundreds of years before the Beatles were on the scene. it was only the rich that could afford them. .

Where are you coming from! Lennon and McCartney were two of the best song writers ever, The Beatles were around when it took a lot more record sales to get to number one than it does nowadays, plus the "smack heads" as you call them probably weren't even born in the Beatles era.

I can remember seeing them on TV in 1964, and even my Dad liked them he said they were smart looking lads, in the beginning they wore shirts, ties and suits! not hippie gear.

Like another post mentioned the Beatles influenced Oasis and many more singer/ songwriters.

If George Harrison or John Lennon saw your post they,d turn in their grave god bless em

And you are? Who exactly? Some rich celebrity? Don't think anyone here has bought one of your albums.Ok, so the 60's brought new freedom for youngsters lives with the pill being invented. The music of the likes of Elvis and The Beatles were raw, new and exciting. But you see, we are more educated now (like knowing how harmful smoking can be etc) There will always be people experimenting with drugs, and sleeping around.I'm happy to say I'm not one of them.
I like some of The Beatles material, and I admire what they did for the music scene.

That's your opinion!

I like the Beatles and i was born in the late 70s i must admit i prefer there earlier stuff and john Lennon was by far the most talented!!

Nope, they couldn't sing. That's why they only lasted a month. Oh, no wait a minute ....that was New Kids on the Block. Plonmker

Then why are they still popular today smackhead?

Lucy in the sky with diamonds was what was seen during an acid trip read the words and lyrics then you may understand.i WAS a child of the 50s and grew up around peeps like buddy holly big bopper cliff in 57 shadows 58 Beatles in 58 etc etc. the beatles pushed music to new heights it was the age of pop with rock along side .so dont tell peeps they were rubbish.they led where others followed.

Though I'm an 80's/90's child myself,i do like some of there song's....the rest are a bit boring though!

how dare you....!!!!

The difference is that in 30 years time no one will remember anyone from this current centuries futile attempts at music.
The Beatles were not everyones favourite but there is no doubting their influence in the music world and it continues today. So if you would kindly get in your yellow submarine I will buy you a ticket to ride and you can go on a magical mystery tour and let it be as it is.
Fab four forever!

i agree with you, they can't sing, but there are a few songs of there's that i like, I'm more of a lyrics person than what's cool and what other people like. i hate Lucy in the sky with diamonds, it's such a stupid song. but i do like hey Jude can't but me love come together and p.s. i love you.

i think that most people lie them because they think it's cool to like stuff from the 60's and do drugs and crap like that. most of them don't know what they're listening to in the 1st place... stupid drugs.

aids is bad very very bad stupid hippies and their "free love" go screw yourself, not everyone you meet.

but yeah i defiantly know where you're coming from.

they suck at singing
