What should I say about The Beatles?!

Question: I'm writing an essay on how the Beatles were influenced by Robert Schumann. I have the connection but I dont know what to say other than just history about the Beatles, and a paper about the history of the Beatles would get kind of tidious to read.

Musical history can actually be very interesting to read, but, if you're looking to spice up your essay a bit, add some interesting trivia about the band members (the one tidbit that comes to mind immediately is how Ringo got his nickname as he loved wearing rings).

Explore whatever happened to Pete Best (the band's original drummer).

Research the number of top ten Billboard hits over the course of their career and compare it to other bands.

Comment on the band's influence on other musicians.

Compare the solo careers of each Beatle. Paul McCartney was certainly the most successful as a solo artist ... I think his band "Wings" actually had more top ten hits than the Beatles did (but don't quote me on this ... you will want to check on this).

Discuss the comparison between the Beatles (the "clean-cut lads from Liverpool") and the Rolling Stones (the "bad boys of rock and roll").

Hypothesize where the Beatles may have gone musically if they hadn't broken up and Lennon wasn't shot.

Analyze an album or two from the band ... do these compare musically or are they vastly different?

Explore why the band broke up (rumour has it that John's marriage to Yoko Ono was objected to).
