Do you call actors by your favorite character name theyve had, or by the role th!
Question: i watch flash gordon, and the guy who plays flash is also the guy who played whitney (lanas 1st boyfriend) in smallville season 1-2 (or3). so when i see the old smallville episodes, i call him flash! because that my favorite role hes played so far.
also, the really big guy from the green mile also played one of the oil drillers in armageddon, his characters name was bear. so whenever i see him, I call him bear.
most time it really doesnt matter what their character name is, if ive seen them somewhere else and i remember that character name better, thats the one i stick with. it just makes it simpler on my brain that way. i cant be filling it up with umpteen character names of people who will inevitably play another role that i would have to learn the name of.
does anyone else do this? or am i just an associatic freak with a horrible memory?

Well there are Actors and Characters actors.
Best way I can answerer, is John Wayne (Who I admire) Will always be John Wayne, either cowboy or war hero!
Then you have Character Actors, Anthony Hopkins who is never the same person, he will take on a part, that will be different to the next part he plays?
There are many examples I could give you, but do not want to get boring.

I usually remember their real name and not always the particular character - If you say Bruce Willes i know who he is and i know the movie will be good but not all the particular rolls he played, but if you mention a particular favorite i will be able to name a few movies he/she starred in
don't worry, ur not a freak..i do this sometimes 2! like, if i don't wanna say their real full name, i'll jus say the name of the person the played that is well known and thats easier for me.
