Opinion - Did Paul McCartney do his best work with the Beetles, or with Wings? I!

Question: ... he's completely "bollocks" as a solo artist, and that unfortunate collaboration with Stevie Wonder some years ago? Well - we... just...won't... GO there.

The more I listen, the more I'm inclined to say Wings. "Venus and Mars" and "Band on the Run" are amazing albums, no?

I think he was a better vocalist when he was with Wings . . . but I love the Beatles.

Thank you! Report It

  • I really like the Beatles, but I do like McCartney's and Lennon's solo stuff a bit more, no one else influencing them, I guess.....okay, well, if you don't count Yoko and Linda! lol

It is Beatles you young 'un you! And I would say the Beatles. He and John Lennon's collaborations are incomparable! I am not fond of him as a solo artist either. Plus he is even older than me!

I appreciate the variety of music from all aspects

I think it has to do with one's age. I kinda like the beatles better, but I do still like Wings.
