Yes, he knew how to make an audience laugh.

a very clever fella

He was certainly a very funny man. Sadly, quite a few of the great comics are no longer with us.

what!!!!!tommy cooper was a leg end.and a gent,very clever man.

The man was a comic genius

A master of his trade.

In that aspect he was very clever.

i liked his humour,he died on stage back in1984, he had the final laugh,,,I don`t think he was a comic genius but he was up there with the best,,

He was a genius- and Welsh, too.

yes, he knew how to inteact with his audience!

A genius.

I once watched a show where he came on stage and did nothing. Just stood there for what seemed like for ever. The occasional facial twitch. That's all. The audience were hysterical. If he moved his eyes sideways, they all fell about. I laughed myself sick.
A star.
From Caerphilly, Glamorgan, South Wales, UK.

Well I didn't find him very funny at all and I don't understand what anyone saw in his "humour" which was more schoolboy than clever IMO.

He was a comic genius even now if you see him you have to laugh it is his face and that laugh.

I bought some HP sauce the other day. It's costing me 6p a month for the next 2 years.

I never like him. Just couldn't find him funny.

he probably was hun, but i could never find him funny, never liked him, no offence to all those who do like him

Very clever man

Here in the States, he reminds me Carl Ballantine at times brilliantly funny. Took chances on stage and bombed a few times but all in all remarkably entertaining.

Very, very clever, he was a brilliant "magician". When he did a trick properly it was always a great one !
