Dancing with the stars/marie osmond?!
Question: ok so here is my rant...yes i feel bad for her and her family with there father dying...and yes i think it suxs her kid is in rehab. but i dont think she is talented at all and her brother Donny is just as bad...he has a huge ego and i feel like when larry king had Marie and Donny on the show to talk about there father and "fame" and he asked her about her son being in rehab (he was tactful about it) she was shocked. i think alot had to do with the fact they want there "picture purfect immage" to up hold. Also i think she has got this far in the Dancing with the Stars she due to sypathy votes. what do you all think? agree/disagree?

I was thinking the same thing. I am so tired of hearing about the Osmonds on Entertainment Tonight / The Insider. Marie Osmond is NOT a good dancer. Her movements are not fluid but seem almost robotic to me. Her brother keeps trying to revive their fame but all it makes me want to do is vomit.

I disagree because she has a huge fan base keeping her going, and she can dance better, I think, than Jennie Garth. She will not win the trophy though, that will go to Mel B.
totally agree!!!!!! yea, she's got all the senior citizens voting for her and others who just feel sorry for her, but she definitely did not get this far by talent. if she wins, im boycotting the show, no joke.
I think this show has turned into a populaity contest. She only made it this far beacuse of her HUGE family! In my opinion, yes she is a hard worker, and she is a very nice lady, but she is just not the best dancer. Talk is cheap, BRING IT TO THE FLOOR!!
Larry King was going for the shock factor when he asked Marie that question about her son. She was shocked because she didn't think anyone knew about that. That was obvious. Marie Osmond is what she is and has always been...an entertainer. She has a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor. I don't think she is getting sympathy votes; people just like her. No, she doesn't dance as well as some of the others, but her total performance makes her worthy to be where she is. Well, maybe she shouldn't be in the finals but she deserved to be in the semi-finals. However, Jenny Garth wasn't doing that well either until just these last couple of weeks.
Marie Osmond has a huge fan base. Some people like me grew up loving the Osmond family and that's exactly what they feel like to us...family.
I don't know, but I hope Ellio wins .... even though it would be nice to see a woman win, I think he has been doing the best.

I disagree. I think her shock over Larry King was that she didn’t realize that her life was being put under a microscope. She is use to her privacy and I’m sure wants to keep it that way. I heard Donny say a couple of times that they have the usual family problems and still manage to stay close. They’re not perfect and I don’t think they come off being that way. Their just a large close family.
If this was only about the dancing then the audience wouldn’t have a vote in it. It’s about more then the dancing. I think Marie is the best overall performer. I just feel great watching her dance and I think she has a real chance of winning this thing. I just hope the media can respect her privacy. The Osmonds have never put fame above family. There are a lot of things to respect and admire about the Osmonds no matter what their problems maybe. No one is perfect.
My daughter was so upset when Sabrina (who is a MUCH better dancer than Marie) got kicked off. It's a dance contest, not a popularity contest. Marie should of been gone a LONG time ago. I hope Helio wins.
I don't know where anyone gets the idea that the show is a dancing competition. If it was purely a dancing competition then Sabrina would be the winner. It is also a popularity contest. Why else would fan votes weigh in for 50% of the scores of the couples?
Sympathy votes.... I think you could say that there have been many opportunities for sympathy votes this season and in sesons past. How many people voted for Jennie the week she and Derek fell during the Quickstep? How many people voted for Jane Seymour the week her mother passed away?
How would you feel if you were asked on national television about some of your children's dirty laundry? Of course she would be upset to speak about the substance abuse problems her son is having. She would have to be a completely heartless and unfeeling person to not have a reaction when asked about it.
And why do we hear about the Osmonds on ET? Is it because Donny Osmond is a special correspondent? Do you think he's going to go on TV and say that someone else is better than her sister? No way.
