Hmm, I guess it had to do with the timing I guess. She came out at after HSM, which most HSM fans would have adored after they saw the "brilliance" of HSM. Which is most likely true, after HSM, they had an empty feeling after a month or so and went off to Hannah Montana, besides most kids won't be die hard fans and only choose one of them.

Well, it's different with every star. For example Eva Avila isn't quite as famous as Jennifer Lopez, even though both of them are talented. She makes good music and has a funny TV show. Kids like that. Plus, she's all over the place! On the back of magazines, toys, etc.

Man, I wish I knew what the big deal was. In children's eyes, her show is funny. In my eyes, she's a wannabe who thinks she's the most amazing thing to walk the planet.
I think its because they think she's funny, cool, pretty, sings well, and overall a good role model.

They like her better than Raven because Raven is fat. As to why they are obsessed with her so much? I don't know, they are 5, they will eventually grow out of it and she will be just like Hilary Duff or any of the other Disney Channel actors.

For kids, I think it is the fact that she is getting away with a "secret" and is a "rock star". For adults, at least for me, it is the fact that there is at least one show on TV where the kids don't use crude language in every single scene. Therefore, I do all I can to have my children support her.
Her music is ok, but it is the entire family-friendly package that is making her a zillionaire.
i dont know. to be honest i think her voice is horrible and her acting skills are terrible. If you ever look in a magazine she tries way too hard to smile. its kinda funny. and to be honest i dont think shes that pretty at all.

For some reason when your younger you are less likely to judge someone on their talent, so basicly, they think she's pretty, stylish and most important, "cool"
I personally find her songs annoying, but younger kids like them because songs about nonsense appeal to them. Kids really don't care what the songs about really lol.
