Britney was in the spotlights way too early in her life. That's not good for a child. She was always watched closely by media, managers etc. Especially in the US, everybody wants to know everything about celebrities and she is haunted by paparazzi. What's fun about having a lot of money, but you can't get some rest and privacy?
Whenever something doesn't work out in her life, the media blows it out of proportion, which only causes more problems for her.
Here's an even better question: why should we care?
With all of the problems life throws at all of us, we shouldn't waste our time worrying about a worthless, untalented moron like Britney.
It's a case of a mediocre talent who was allowed to be succesfully marketted but who tragically began to believe her own bullsh+t and thought she was something special. Like Elvis, she will some day be found naked, fat, and dead on the bathroom floor and her mother and manager will be to blame but will never feel an ounce of guilt as they count the money she made for them.
