Is there a double standard when it comes to celebrity?!
Question: My wife's brother had ten days in jail, 30 days house arrest, 50 hours of alcohol classes, suspension, a blow machine to start his car, yellow license plates, and three years probation for his second DUI.
Lindsay and Nicole served just over a hour each for theirs. Each was under the influence of illegal drugs (or in possession of them) and was being punished for her second offense.
My wife's brother was pulled over (not after an accident, a high-speed car chase or driving the wrong way on the freeway) and blew slightly over the legal limit. He also had no illegal drugs in his possession.
Double standard? What do you think?

Uh yea! Lindsey Lohan spending HOURS in jail, Paris getting out, getting privileges. If that was any of us we'd still be in jail!

You betcha! With fame comes privileges. They seem to get away with a lot that normal people would pay in hell for.

Yes, there is. Is it right? No. But, that's the way it is I guess. I don't think that just because you are making more money than us regular people by entertaining us, that they should get away with serious things like the previously mentioned Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Sure they spent some time in jail, but not enough to really learn how bad their actions were.
