Wow, that's a tough one. I'd have to say Elvis only because I like a LOT of his songs. Plus Elvis was so handsome!
Kurt Cobain was better even though he wasnt a really good guitarist he still proved to the world that your didnt need to be like van halen and all those people to be a great musician.

This will highly depend on who you ask. If you ask people under 20 they will prob say Cobain. He was a good artist with an untimely death.
I'm 27 and have taste in music. My vote goes for the King.
(Although some of his hits ex-- "Jailhouse Rock" were not written by him but by people who didn't get any recognition. I do give Cobain probs for writing his own music).
One was the King of Rock n Roll....the other The King of Grunge. Depends on taste.
