Who exactly is Rev Run?!
Question: I've seen the show a LOT but I wanted to know, is he really a Reverend? Did he used to be a star or something? And I heard he had another wife before. So are all his kids now with his current wife? How many kids do they have in all? Just curious. Info would be great! :)

Joseph Ward Simmons (born November 14, 1964) is one of the founding members of hip hop group Run-D.M.C.. He is known as DJ Run, Joey Simmons or Rev Run, which is a play on his religious title. Born in Hollis, Queens, New York, he is the younger brother of Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons. He entered the scene via his older brother Russell, as a DJ for his first big act Kurtis Blow. He assumed the alias 'Son of Kurtis Blow', but later changed it to 'Run Love'.

He really is a reverend. He was in Run D.M.C- the popular rap group back in the day. Not all of his kids are his current wife's- the two girls and the oldest son are from his previous wife, but the 2 youngest sons are theirs. They have 5 children and recently adopted a little girl after losing their own child due to a birth defect.
His brother is Russell Simmons who owns a record label and a few clothing lines- his now ex-wife (Kimora Lee Simmons who has her own show on the Style Network) owns Phat Farm. The oldest Daughter, Vanessa, is a model and was on The Guiding Light for quite a while and the younger daughter, Angela, helps with their fashion line called Pastry.

He has his own TV show called Runs House. It is really funny! He is a real Reverend. I think all his kids are from that wife. He used to be a really good rapper and his family like his brothers have like clothing stores and foot wear. He is pretty cool!

Rev Run was in a rap group called RUN DMC with two of his friends. Yes I think that he is a reverend because i've seen him wearing the attire and i dont think people just do that for fun. Yes, he did have another wife. Angela,Vanessa, and JoJo are the kids from his previous marriage. Diggy & Russell are from his marriage now. They also had a daughter but she died after birth.
I'm not sure if he is really a Reverend but he is from the rap group Run DMC they were big in the 80's and early 90's. the group's DJ Jam Master Jay was murdered a few years ago. He has a total of five kids. the two younger boys are from his current wife and the remaining kids are from his first wife. i hope this helps
Rev Run is Russel Simmons brother the founder of Def Jam and Phat farm clothing line. He is also a member of the old school hip hop group RUN DMC! All those kids are his current wife's he has 3 boys and 2 girls! Diggy on the show is my favorite that kid is too funny and cool.
