Christopher Reeve played Superman. He also did horse jumping and the reins got tangled in his hand and he couldn't get loose. He wound up paralyzed and eventually died. The sad thing is his wife got cancer and she died some time later, leaving their son an orphan. I loved Christopher Reeve as Superman as he was so good looking and a bit shy.
