there is simply no way a white person can use the n-word among blacks in the same casual, group-bonding way that blacks use it amongst themselves. If a white man considers himself "brother" to a black man he will understand this, and not try to be something he's not.

Even smart guys dont know when to keep their mouths shut!

I have been disappointed with him for a long time. He prays and talks about the Lord, then five minutes later they are bleeping out a cuss word. His pastor is African American and said that he has been talking to him for a long time about his mouth, and now it's really gotten him into trouble.

I think everyone--black, white, red, yellow--makes mistakes and uses racial slurs and we should ALL stop...and as far as Dog was concerned, his faux pau just happened to be recorded so his mistake could be thrown back at him again and again...

ok well let me speak on this the n word is definitley not the best word to use, but you need to look at how the black americans use this word as well, but let me ask you this if the great reverand al sharpton used the word cracker to describe one white american would he be as scrutinized as the dog who goes out and hunts down criminals, i think not, so to hold something over this mans head that does our society so much good is racist in its own terms.

I think his true feelings were shown during that phone call. Then for him to make the "excuses" he did is ridiculous.

has your friend ever called someone gay the f word?? why does this one word have such power than an honest apology isn't enough?? and there ya go with her about Imus. it's an insane situation.I wonder how she feels about the Boondocks having the n word at least once in every episode...??
I can't wait to see what he's going to do to his backstabbing traitor son! and wonder what's going to happen if the son's relationship ever goes bad...

How can you think one is fuuny and the other is not. They were words that were not used very wisely. I find it more disturbing that Dog's own son turned him in, probably for money!

I'm Polish and believe me, I have heard them all. If Dogg would have made a joke about a Pole I seriously doubt that I would ask for his head.

I don't like the the word but he was in his own home on his phone talking to his son who then taped the conversation of his father & him and sold his own dad up the river what a guy. I hope Dogg comes out of it fine. He made a mistake and I hope his worthless kid pays in the end when he needs the rest of his family when his payoff is gone.

dogg is dumb.

what seems strange to me is that usually when a black entertainer uses that word, no one cares. Why are they making such a fuss now ? When Imus said what he said, I was concerned and found it proper that he was fired. I used to listen to him "back when", and did you know that Howard Stern originally modeled himself on Imus before Stern went MUCH further. I think race isn't the issue here--I think what political fuss they can make from it, and what headlines they can get, like Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, is the issue.

I love it. I think that it's great and the N word should be used more often.
