Jay-Z...he's been in the rap game alot longer and is more popular. Plus he has better rhymes in my opinion...lil wayne has just recently became good. Plus he claims jay-z to be the best rapper so I guess he would be under jay-z...
Jay-Z he has more street credibility and he has been around for years!!! His rhymes are tight and he is a business man. .. But NO ONE tops biggie!!!

Jay Z's a hack, he stopped being worth a damn when he got his first chart hit. He just started writing about how good he has it, and how much the industry sucks. Man, use some of that clout you assure us all you've got, and fix it.
And while you're at it, give Lady Sovereign a decent producer. Mark Ronson will work with pretty much anyone. AND he's from the same country as her.
And I haven't heard of Lil' Wayne, but he's got a rubbish name.
The best rapper ever is a potato, he lives in Germany in a glass tower and writes all his own beats on a crappy MPC and Dr. Sample combo.
In my opinion they are both the truth. However, I would pick Jay-z. He is the greatest rapper ever. Lil Wayne has stated that Jay-z is the "Best Rapper Alive." Jay-z has 9 albums that have gone number 1 and if his current album goes number 1 he will be tied with Elvis for the "Most Number 1 Albums" ever put out by a man. Only the Beatles have more Number 1's. So I think that alone gives you your answer. Jay-z Is the Greatest Rapper to date but Lil Wayne or Weezy, as I like to call him could be on his way to out doing Jay-z.
