You got a dream girl and you gotta focus on the small term goals FIRST to achieve your dream

they all steppin stones to your destiny.... Ok Your qualities would be (4me atleast) thankfull to God for the opportunites He has given me

Blessed that I am gifted with this talent and passionate about your music

say " I write all my own lyrics, from my heart, thats the only way I am on this stage now because since I was a little kid , I KNEW I had something waiting out there extravagant for me... but i just didnt kow what.... So now through my music i am expressing myself to the whole World!!"

First when You get signed on ( a label ) is a contract that you must keep and they pay you GOOD money... Because YOU are representing THEIR LABEL now

you are making them money, and they are providing you the tools to make the music(studio , wardrobes, etc...)

A lot of work to be put into making your first album.... editing etc. ............................... But once You release your first album you start a tour and before you know it Your a famous singer!!!

you will loose your privacy though and must get used to alot of attention wherever you go... everybody will know you

wow,, hope that was good enough... I am doing a similar project so u know

go on the x factor

Confidence

Time, because it takes a lot of time for your talent to be accepted by the masses.

u have 2 be sexy and have voice,,and know the right people,,,,thats only way ull be famouse singer

I'm no expert, but I'd think having a good singing voice might be important.

musical talent is the best place to start. you are born with it.

Knowing how to sing really helps.

if you want to be a singer, then sing. study music, become a musician, listen to music all the time, learn about different kinds of music and vocal styles.

if your goal is to be famous, then good luck, only 1 in a million make it.

do you want to sing, or do you want to be famous? which is primary?

Well I know one very important quality...A good singing voice? I know I know, You would of never have geussed...

Your welcome :)

Talent, marketing and a little luck. Not necessarily in that order.

The ability to sing well, preferably be a good dancer, to be confident - not shy and to be able to perform well without getting stagefright?

oh honey, it takes a lot, but if you get an agent, it woul be a lot easier. you could even do american idol, but chances are that you wont make it (not meant to be offensive. i mean, millions of people try out. only 1 wins) because even some of the runner ups get famous. like, Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, Jennifer hudson and a lot of other people.

you absolutely have to know how to sing

talent and it is not really what you know it is who you know. good luck.

Hard work!
A break!
Luck!
Confidence!
Pay is difficult to say it depend on the venue in which you work.
You will have to go through a lot of disappointments before you reach your goal. Be strong, practice, and don't let a couple of No's stop you. Good Luck!!

Most start very early. look a t Britney, Lopez, Micheal Jackson, Elvis, Johnny rivers.
Since they were little kids they lived for it. Do you have the drive? They do it and do it and do it! I doubt if they would be spending time on Yahoo answers or even know it existed because they are so into their music.

Rivers has had one job that was not in music. He was a apaer boy for a couple months TO RAISE MONEY FOR A NEW GUITAR!

See what i mean? Elvis never had a job,

Have you any talent? Are you willing to work the talent to make it automatic?

Skill, and confidence in your skin

ask Simon.

I will say that American Idol's auditions do spell out the winning formula, and Cowell wrote in his book about the "X" factor.

If you write great songs but don't have stage presence, you can collaborate and become a successful songwriter. If you have tons of stage presence but have zero songwriting ability (Sinatra, Streisand, Presley) , you can find the songs and interpret them. Singer-songwriters in a rock band can pull it off.

It helps to at least try to write, because if you do wind up with a recording contract, if you have no songwriting credits, you will get very little back in royalties. A lot of singers will try to have a co-writing credit so they get a little something extra.

The only thing professional means is that you get paid to sing. It's a matter of having an audience interested enough to return and see you again, and word of mouth reputation that eventually finds its way to a record company that has the means to record and promote you on a wider platform.

Realistically it's better not to pursue stardom because it takes a thick skin in handling being constantly rejected and working hard to prove yourself. You might wind up a background singer and make a great living though. You could wind up getting a recording contract. After all, that's how Luther Vandross did it..he was David Bowie's background singer.

Local musician's union, wedding band gigs, whatever it takes to be comfortable on a stage. A lot of the American Idol kids are not going on the the show without some sort of history in performing on stage. Some of them already had a following, although a small one in bands. But again, it's a foot in the door, and even not being the winner, but getting their validation and making it into the top 12 could get you ahead of a lot of people in future auditions.

Local theater is a great way to get a feel for working in front of an audience.

It's still tied to social networking and self-promotion until you find someone you can trust to do some of it for you.

Practice, preparation, working harder at it than anyone else you know and no excuses.
