You cannot put too much credence in what you read, because it's mostly promotional for the actor (and exaggerated)... and no one's going to tell you that say a Tom Cruise is 5' 5" or that a George Clooney is upwards of 5' 9", or that Matt Damon is 5' 7"... you'd have to look at their heels, and compare people standing next to them. Which ones, do you want to know about?
In fact, look up the height of the ACTRESSES they're walking next to (in real life, not on screen)... and it will give you better idea... if you can't be 'there' to see for yourself.
