Criss said even before they started doing the show that he would expose anyone who claimed to have supernatural or psychic powers, because they are frauds if they say they do. This guy claimed to be able to talk to spirits, which isn't at all possible, and Criss said that. He had an envelope and told that gu that he would give him one million dollars of his own personal money if he could tell him what was in the envelope. The performer then called Criss an "idealogical bigot" and Criss got out of his chair and told him he "didn't want to hear this b*llsh*t, just what is in the envelope" and the performer was avoiding answering the question, and then threw himself at Criss, which is when the host intervened and cut to a commercial. If you want more information, they interviewed Criss, Uri, and Jim after the fight. The also have a video of the fight on the NBC website.

The Guy Said Criss Was Fake.

Criss Angel got pissed off because the guy was a jerk! He was acting as if he was talking to someone who had passed away. Criss Angel took it personally because of his own father passing away. He said you don't do that, when your just acting as if your doing that! Does this make sense to you. Criss Angel is very honest! He said he would of had the guy to the ground if everyone would have let him do it!! Go Criss LOL!! That guy Jim is a complete jerk. When I first seen the guy acting the way he was, i was like what the hell is his problem. How retarded, you don't have to act like that! I was so happy Criss did what he did!

Criss Angel is apparently part of the "Amazing" Randi-Penn & Teller crowd of magicians who admire Harry Houdini and tend to follow his example of exposing fake mediums; that is, people who claim to talk to ghosts. Randi and P&T are avowed atheists, so in their minds anything supernatural must be a trick. This may indicate that Criss Angel is showing atheistic tendencies...... He even attacked his co-host, supposed psychic Uri Geller, with the same "What's in the envelope?" tirade. As to why the fight occurred, it was most likely planned by the producers of the show to get ratings. The first episode did poorly and with so must invested in this 2 hour Halloween special, they probably set the whole thing up with Criss to boost ratings. There are other clues that this is the case....one day earlier Criss was on Larry King Live saying that he would bust anyone who professed to be a medium or psychic on "Phenomenon". Before the contestant even came out, the host had mentioned a couple of times that his act was "controversial." SO, if the producers knew Criss' feelings about this (and you KNOW they did) then WHY would they even allow the contestant on the show to begin with??? UNLESS it would boost ratings. The producers probably didn't know that it would turn into a fight or that Criss would challenge Uri, they simply allowed this act that they normally wouldn't even consider and planned for Criss to confront the contestant, then have the contestant meekly admit he couldn't tell what was in the envelope and that would be that. He'd be exposed for a fake, nobody would vote for him, all neat and tidy. Criss Angel would have a way to express his ideology and the show would get badly needed ratings, all at the contestant's expense. It really backfired on them but boosted ratings too, I suppose. I'll be surprised if Uri stays on the show much longer with a slap in the face like that. Anyway, that's what I think.
