Free Speech anyone?!
Question: Ya know Halle Berry made a crack about a Jewish cousin with a big nose, and then apologized...Now Dog the bounty hunter said some nasty things about black people, and now his show is frozen thanks to A&E television. Dog said those things in a private conversation. If all our phone calls were recorded, I bet we all would regret saying some things. Anyway, isn't it better to know who the idiots are, rather than ban them from TV. I've heard the same comments about white people on BET, and comedians (who were black) and no one gets their panties in a bunch about that....Is free speech over in this country?

I dont really think it is, its just famous people have to set and example. As for the white jokes, i think no one gets offended or no one cares becase we had a history of african american slavery in the US so people take that seriously. Also there is alot of racism. We dont get all crazy about white jokes because we dont really care, but when we make a black joke everyone goes crazy. There is just so much racism from whites to every non-white or non-christian/catholic religion in our history that everyone notices it when it happens, but not the other way.

Free speech just means the government can't persecute you for saying "The President is a Fink!"
But it doesn't mean other folks won't take offense.
Their is a difference when comedians make light observations about society but when people who are portraying themselves as something they're not and getting a lot of money and fame and are adored by the public then it matters if they come out and say something nasty because you set yourself up to be a role model and then it turns out you're nothing but racist. Dog was adamant about his kids not dating black people (NI gg ers) and halle b. was told the joke by one of her jewish assistants and went on air and mispoke.

I think people need to get rid of the childish thinking of "if he can say it why can't i " my questions is why would you want to say ni gg er anyway?
It seems that the politically correct rule is:
It is OK to insult white people since they enslaved everybody many generations ago. Any white person who insults a non-white should immediately have their job, car, and house taken away. This rule somehow evens things up and makes everything OK again.
We have come to a point (here in the States) where no one can say anything without offending someone. I am in no way racist and I do condem people who judge others for their colour but I think black people have a double standard in this country. They can say white trash, skinny white boy, pale face, etc and no one finds it offensive. Someone makes a comment about a big nose being jewish, a black person being black (and not african american) and they make a fuss about it. Blacks have BET, Ebony magazine, Black beauty pagents, etc. Just IMAGINE what the fuss they'll make if we have an only white TV, only white magazine, and only white beauty pagent!!! Talk about equal rights!!!!
I think white people regret this big racist monster they created because now they are no longer the sole racist in the world and thats not what they intended
Whites need to stop their whining , so what someone called you a cracker, they're not burning crosses on your lawn or showing up with sheets on their heads.
When a white person is denied restaurant service or harassed by black police officers or hung from a tree because of your color then i can understand why you are upset but until then "Get over it"
Dog was convicted in the murder of a black man in Texas, back in 1977. He claims to have changed his life, yet he uses racial hatred freely. I don't think he has changed his ways, nor has he sought an atonement being apart of the murder of an innocent black man.
idk. i think its just cause they dont want other people to think its okay to do that, even in private conversations, just cause celebs do it too. They're making a huge deal about it i guess to show that its wrong and they shouldn't do that.
