I think all the leads they had were dead ends. It is believed to be gang affiliated - which means they have ideas about who did it, but little evidence and no witnesses.

Hey there.i dont know much about the case but it happened long time ago. they prob had no leads or they were dead ends or the had a few suspects or had an idea who didi it but insufficient evidence.
As time pass by and it happened a long time ago,the case is pretty much cold unless somebody with info give us a lead, other than that there aint no chance of closing those cases.
