Shakira is taking a break now, she just finished her huge two-album project and her world tour that lasted over a year. It will probably be about a year before we get a new album from her, unfortunately. But she's releasing a DVD of the tour very soon (November), and she has some other projects going on. She has a new Wyclef duet on his upcoming album, and she contributed a few songs to the movie "Love in the Time of Cholera."
Shakira is to provide three songs for the soundtrack of the film adaptation of the Gabriel García Márquez novel Love in the Time of Cholera, which is scheduled for release in November 16 2007.[17] For this soundtrack, Shakira made two new songs called Hay Amores and La Despedida and Pienso En Ti, from Pies Descalzos album, will be also included. On November 12, the DVD from the Oral Fixation Tour will be released with the title Live In Miami. It will be also be available in the High Definition Blu-ray format.[18] Shakira is also due to release another song with Wyclef Jean on his upcoming album. The song is titled "King and Queen". A short sample leaked onto the internet on September 27 2007.

Her debut DVD is scheduled to be released on the 5 November in the U.K., and 13 November in the U.S. [22] It includes a live set recorded at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire and a 50-minute documentary charting the singers career over the last four years.
