Is anyone else sick of the media focusing n AMY WINEHOUSE's drug addictions !
Question: I just wonder this. I know she is a UK native and as a new yorker , I am sick of everytime I see her in the media it is a story about how she got arrested for marijuana possesion or whatever. Her talent is overlooked when all this negative media references.

I don't read tabloids or watch trashy 'news' channels. But I can hardly imagine reporters talking about how well behaved celebrities are? :P And it doesn't seem to have harmed her sales, her album has sold over 2,000,000 worldwide in under a year!
But generally it would be refreshing to hear some good news for a change ;)

I have seen her loads on the news & think "Oh No not her again" when her songs would be on the radio Ide turn it off because I see nothing but a tattooed messed up woman who's brains are so far up her own backside it must take her hours to find the lightswitch....but her music is very good .

Yes but she puts herself out there meaning SHE does the behavior that brings the attention to herself. I like her music though and yes she is very talented.
As far as the person who said she is ugly, she didn't always look a hot mess. Go on youtube search for the music video "Stronger Than Me" by her. She looked much better back then it really is a shame how she has messed herself up.
The media will focus on any celebrity that has a problem Britney Spears, Paris Hilton because that's what sells. There is something embedded in a lot of people that makes them feel good when they see that a person that makes $20,000,000 a year has problems just as bad or worst than the person that makes $30,000 per year.
The media always focuses on what sells. But you are right, she is an amazing talent. Hopefully she'll pull herself together.

For some reason, the media has been focusing on very negative issues lately. It is unfortunate. I don't know who this Amy Winehouse is, but her personal problems should not be played out in the press; just like Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton or anyone else. The press needs to leave these people alone and report the news, not make it.

sad silly little celebrities...they moan about their privacy,yet continue to do the things they do..amy is a very talented girl,but she is self destructive,there are millions of people around the world,either with drug addiction or mental problems,do they get the help that is needed?..no because they are not famous and dont have the money or means,amy get help or get out of the spotlight,there are people out there that are worst of than you!!

Lets face it there are a lot more talented singers out there but Amy is famous for her style - both vocally and in the fashion sense, and lets face it neither would be what they are without her being addicted to drugs!!
what annoys me though is the papers all slate her for being a bad role model an making kids want to take drugs because she does but surely the kids wouldn't know she took drugs if they didn't read it in the papers?
She's the best advert for not taking drugs. Tell the kids, take drugs and you'll look like this.....
