Both are good dancers and are on equal footing when it comes to footwork. But if we're talking about the best, it has to be Aaliyah. No question about it. She is the one who started it all. Without Aaliyah, there wouldn't be a Ciara!
Aaliyah made it real cool to be "street but sweet." Behind the glasses and the sultry smile was a sweet hometown girl from Detroit, MI who never forgot her roots! I don't think that Ciara tries to imitate Aaliyah, even though when I look at the video for and listen to the song "Promise", there are some comparisons that could be made between the two. What makes Aaliyah better than Ciara is that Aaliyah was an all-around performer. She could sing, dance, AND act! Ciara can dance, but the only thing that helps her singing is the instruments that are used in her songs to pump it up (she burned it up in Promise), and the acting, well, although she did a good job in the movie "All You've Got" with Adrienne Bailon, she still has a long way to go!
